Vacuum moulding process

In the vacuum moulding process, the sand casting mould is produced by means of a model and a film spread out on this model. Uninterrupted applied vacuum compacts the moulding sand keeping it stable until the casting and solidification of the melt.

The advantage of the process is the high surface quality and lower costs due to the simple preparation of the sand. Currently also important to mention is the higher environmental compatibility of the process.
